Custom Handpainted Wooden Angel Ornament - JANUARY/GARNET

$10.00 USD

Product Description

What a great gift for someone with a January birthday! January's birthstone is Garnet which is a dark red. I have recreated this with metallic paint. You pick the font for the name and any embellishment (see font choice picture for embellihsments).

Angel has an ethereal vibe due to my creating her with long extreme glitter colored feathers on her wings, supported by shorter metallic feathers over a base coat of either white or champagne pearlescence.

This ornament is completely custom. I want you to be happy with your one of a kind piece from Hawk's Nest Creations. Just use the convo button to get started.

Months available:

YOU pick the colors. YOU pick from one of 4 fonts for a name and if desired, an embellishment to enhance the beauty of your ornament..... or leave it simple. There are samples of fotns, color schemes and embellishments below in the photos. With over 100 bottles of Deco Americana paint, I can create just about any skin tone and hair color. There are ideas of long and short hair styles in the pictures as well!

The glint in her eye was not captured on camera. It comes from 2 perfectly round dots of holographic paint which twinkles when it catches the light just right. Her cheeks have just the slightest hint of blush and her eye and hair color can be customized as well. If desired, I can letter (New Yorker font is neat and stylish) your little one's name and the year on the back at no additional charge.

Eye color choices (Folk Art Metallics)
Inca (Glorious) Gold
Antique Gold
Christmas Green
Sky Blue
Robin's Egg Blue

With over 100 colors of Deco Americana acrylic paint, just let me know what hair color, skin tone you'd like and an idea of a hair style (updo, shoulder length, pigtails, side ponytail etc).

Ornament is then sealed with triple thick glaze which adds almost a glass like appearance to the surface.

I offer quality handmade mementos for all of life's milestones. Most of my items are designed to be customized. The names pictured on the listings are custom pieces I have created, or I have created them for display in my own home. Please convo me with what you would like your piece to say or reflect and I will let you know if it's doable (by changing the size of lettering in conjunction with size of image for example). I want you to be happy.

MATERIALS USED - I prefer to paint on wood, but I can paint on whatever will hold still! I primarily use Deco Art Americana paints, so any color from Deco Art's palette (or Folk Art etc equivalent), I probably have. For glass and tile, I use enamel paint which has been baked. It is top rack dishwasher safe but is recommended to be washed by hand.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Carolyn grew up in the wine region of Northern California. She began winning awards for her artistic endeavors as a middle schooler. She is a Level I One Stroke Certified Instructor, certified to teach folk art painting in the style popularized by Donna Dewberry.
